- Bhagsunath temple and waterfall- They’re situated very near to the bus stand and the waterfall is worth seeing becuase of the crystal clear water and you can even take a dip near the waterfall as the water is not too deep.
- Dalai Lama Temple- The temple road leads to the Dalai Lama Temple where you will find a museum, cafe, bookstore, library and a monastery. Even though you might not catch a glimpse of His Holiness- Dalai Lama, but you will feel very peaceful once you spend some time in the monastery.
- City Market- The temple road is full of stalls and shops with beautiful and colorful accessories and clothes.
- Tibetan Museum- This museum is a must visit if you want to gain an insight on the condition of the Tibetan immigrants when Tibet was occupied by China.
- Triund Trek- If you have an extra day in McLeod Ganj, do give this trek a try. You will not regret it. There are camps available at the top and the trek is only of 6 hours, and the best part is the stunning view you’ll get at the top!

Here are few must have experiences in Mcleodganj – Dharamsala –
1. Mcleodganj has some of the awesome-est cafes of India. Try as many as you can specially Illiterati Cafe, Shiva Cafe, Seed Cafe, Carpe Diem and Namgyal Cafe.
2. Spend a night in Triund. Trek and pitch your tent on top of the hill and gaze the stars. It would be very cold in Jan, so plan accordingly.
3. Home stay in Dharamkot – A small village that is 2km from Mcleodganj. Triund is just 7km from Dharamkot.
4. Trek to villages of Naddi. Naddi is 3km from Dharamkot.
5. Visit the Kangra Fort.
6. Dharamsala and Mcleodganj are best explored on foot. Visit the temples, monasteries, museums.
